All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

Do you remember the "Aint's" lol. Under Haslett they won their first playoff game ever.
A lot of Hasletts problems is the situation and the owner. No he aint a Belichek. But hes a solid guy. I think hes certainly an upgrade over the current ******s.
He will be a FA after this season, and I suspect he is not only an option for Buffalo but likely a top 3 option.

It's hard to believe or go on anything that skooby says, but I dont know why I feel that way..

Re: New rumor Marv levy GM, Jim Haslett Head coach
I was unaware that Marv Levy had any experience with the business side of football. His MA is in English history. He was one hell of a coach, though! One of the best! From Wikipedia article:
Career Highlights
Levy is the only NFL coach to have coached teams that subsequently won four straight league or conference championships
Won two CFL championships while head coach of the Montreal Alouettes
Guided the Bills to six division championships (including four consecutive from 1988-1991)
Compiled a 17-5 record (14-5 in the regular season and 3-0 in the post-season) against the winningest coach in NFL history, Don Shula. He is the only head coach in NFL history to have a winning record against Shula.
Compiled 143 NFL coaching victories (11th on the all-time list)
He is one of only 14 coaches to win 100 games with one NFL team.
He is the only coach to lose four Superbowls in a row.
He retired at the age of 72 and is tied with George Halas as the oldest head coach in NFL history.

You know, on face value, that's not a bad idea. At least we'd know that when Lombardi says he'll commit to the runninggame, he'd mean it.
Two words that should strike fear in everyone: Mike Martz. He is making noise about coaching somewhere and SOMEONE will hire this guy.
The way things are going for us, here's what might be the selection to choose from (in no order):
1) Carroll (wants 6 mill plus control)
2) Mike Martz
3) Dom Capers. (If they don't get Bush, I think he's gone)
4) Haslett
Based on that, we're doomed if we keep MM or let him go.

Agreed. I just hope there are more choices than this...and NO, Jimmuh "d**khead, I smack my lips all the time" Johnson is not a viable answer. He got lucky in Dallas and he sucked in Miami when he didn't have 100 all-pro players on the roster. I mean, BARRY SWITZER won an SB with that team! That proves JJ was nothing special.
Re: New rumor Marv levy GM, Jim Haslett Head coach
Im a Marv fan and all but I still dont think he can do it at his age. The level of pressure in today's game is so much more intense than it was ten years ago. I guess the only way well ever know is if we give it a shot.
